Allin Consulting has an opportunity for a Technology Architect. A Technology Architect delivers advanced technology to clients in the form of limited consulting engagements. They perform the most complex technical assignments to support a client or Allin project team. They provide end-to-end technology solutions and will actively engage in the delivery of projects.
- Maintain a high level proficiency with a wide range of technologies and be able to consistently apply these to project work in a real-world environment.
- Analyze, design, develop, implement and/or maintain the most complex technology based solutions for clients in accordance with technical requirements, client requirements and systems compatibility.
- Analyze requirements and recommend innovative solutions which meet the business needs of all parties, and must have the technical expertise to deliver these on-time and within budget.
- Analyze client requirements and recommend complex technical solutions that meet client requirements and expectations.
- Gather and drive the requirements gathering activity while choosing the right technology for the solution.
- Assist in the development of standards and methodologies and ensure adherence to same on assigned projects.
- Perform multiple assignments at one time, including participating on multiple projects simultaneously while individually contributing technical expertise to the successful delivery of technical solutions.
- Interact with internal staff members and clients to architect the solution sets and strategies required for multi-tier applications; where necessary build/implement software solutions for these projects.
- Report project status to Practice Director, Practice Manager, or Project Leader, highlighting issues for escalation.
- Write technical and customer documentation as required and to client’s satisfaction

- Deliver formal and informal technology based training to Allin delivery team on an individual or team basis.
- Conduct client training as required.
- Strengthen expertise in one or more technology platforms through on the job experience, attendance at technical seminars and formal training, and certification.
- Stay current with the latest releases, information, techniques, certifications, etc., in a given technology solution or practice area and take proactive steps to share this information within their practice area and office.
- Coach and mentor junior staff.
- Bill at least 70% of time to Allin clients over the course of a year.
- Command high bill rates reflective of a technical expert in their area of expertise.
- Assist with the interview process for new hire candidates.
- Stay current with technology in designated areas of expertise.
- Understand full software development lifecycle methodology.
- Ability to design, develop, and deliver to test plans.
- Ability to analyze information gathered from users, available documentation, and organizational research to perform functional requirements analyses for programs.
- Ability to travel up to 25% throughout US.
- Work evenings and weekends when needed.
- 8 + years experience with a technology solution or practice area exhibiting the use and mastery of latest state of the art technical tools and/or applications.
- Possess a premiere Microsoft certification, preferably MCPD or MCSD.
- Routinely receive superior performance reviews.
- Possess an excellent grasp and understanding of at least four technologies or products, with at least two internal and two external presentations given within their area of expertise
