As a Senior Interactive Designer, you will have an opportunity to work with one of the most exciting new technologies, Microsoft Surface. You will work with members of our Interactive Television Division; providing guidance, feedback and support in the creation of motion oriented and cutting edge interfaces. Be one of the first to work at the forefront of a new technology, surface based computing.
The ideal candidate will be both creative and pragmatic, with an eye for accuracy and detail. She or he must be a strong conceptual interactive designer who can utilize Silverlight and other technologies to create engaging concepts with usability, accessibility, and localization in mind. Candidates must possess a strong personal vision for how technology and design can be mobilized to create an extensible and gratifying user experiences. The candidate must demonstrate an ability to multitask on various design projects while maintaining schedules and communicating team status.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND KNOWLEDGE
- This position will push your knowledge of Silverlight and related technologies, so fluency in JavaScript and XAML are a pre-requisite.
- Strong attention to visual detail is essential, as much of your role will focus on accurately interpreting design concepts, comps and specifications into working code.
- Previous experience with Web- and flash-based development projects is helpful.
- Prior experience working with a multi-disciplinary team that includes designers and editors.
- Understanding of the current state of Silverlight’s development toolset is also helpful, and previous experience with video/audio production would be a huge plus (playback, importing, exporting, etc).
- Degree and/or requisite Experience in Graphic Design (or related visual) field preferred.
- Vector- and raster-based imagery
- 5+ years experience with interactive problem solving
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Software expertise including Adobe Creative Suite, Flash, Visual Studio, Expression Studio
Familiarity with HTML, XML, CSS, ActionScript 2.0 and AJAX
