Fremont, California January 22, 2007
Telecommunications equipment maker Network Equipment Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: NWK), a global provider of multi-service network exchange solutions for government and enterprise customers and Allin Corporation (OTCBB: ALLN), a Microsoft Gold Certified technology consulting firm, announced today a technology and co marketing agreement for integrating NET’s VX Series Universal Voice Exchange™ into unified communications solutions and unified messaging applications from Microsoft. Allin will provide systems integration and deployment to enterprise customers for the VX Series in Microsoft-based communications solutions. NET’s VX Series provides the capability to connect a customer’s existing enterprise infrastructure to next-generation converged communications solutions. The VX Series is designed to support both unified messaging in the new version of the Microsoft Exchange Server 2007, and unified communications in the upcoming release of Microsoft Office Communications Server. In addition, the VX Series allows Allin to add additional value to its extensive customer base by voice enabling Microsoft’s Live Communications Server and SharePoint Server, as well as other Microsoft applications.
“Unified communications and unified messaging will require interoperability with existing voice systems and networks. Our VX Series was developed with this need in mind,” said Talbot Harty, General Manager of NET’s Voice & Mobility Solutions Group. “We are excited that Allin has chosen to partner with NET. Allin is currently delivering Microsoft-based solutions, so it was a natural fit for us to combine our product with their integration expertise to offer a complete solution to Allin’s customers. The agreement is key for NET, as it validates the VX Series as a viable component of unified communications solutions and it provides an established channel for sales of NET’s products into the enterprise market.”
“The VX Series enables companies to make their employees’ jobs easier without a significant capital expenditure or technology overhaul,” said Andrew Saletra, Allin’s Strategic Relationship Manager. “The VX Series is a real fit for companies that need the freedom to deploy on an existing PBX or IP network, providing cost savings and improved productivity.”
