Enterprise EPM Deployment

After an organization has successfully piloted an EPM solution, provided training for key team members, and made the decision to roll the solution out to the enterprise, they are frequently overwhelmed when considering next steps, and the process to follow for enterprise-wide implementation. As a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, Allin Corporation has assisted many organizations in the enterprise-wide implementation of Microsoft products and technologies, including the Microsoft EPM solution, Microsoft Project Server 2003 and Microsoft Project Professional 2003.

During an enterprise-wide implementation and conversion, Allin will work with the organization to further understand departmental processes, skills, issues, and interactions required with other departments in managing projects and resources. Using this information, a plan for enterprise-wide rollout will be developed and implemented, including identification of training requirements and timing; architectural design for expanding the EPM solution to include each department; review and modification of business processes where necessary to optimize the project management process; and further customization of the EPM environment, at the department or enterprise level. Additional areas to be reviewed include additional security requirements and changes to the enterprise resource pool and global files; customization of the Project Guide to include the organization’s development or project management methodology; modifications to the standard project workspace to include a consistent, document library structure tailored to the organization’s requirements; customized risk and issue tracking capabilities; further automation of business processes, including enterprise application integration with other systems and integration with SharePoint Portal Server; and development of additional reference materials and procedures.

Allin can also work with the organization to assist in the migration of existing projects, providing on-call support and assistance where needed. As the EPM solution is extended throughout the enterprise, Allin can work with the organization to extend the OLAP capabilities of the tool to facilitate data mining of project information, and provide enhanced enterprise reporting capabilities. Additionally, Allin can assist the organization with disaster recovery planning, network monitoring, and training geared specifically for network administrators and operations personnel.
