Enterprise Project Management
Enterprise Project Management (EPM) enables organizations to manage projects, including both IT and line-of-business, as a collective portfolio of activities, rather than as separate, isolated projects with no overlap.

Because EPM provides a big-picture perspective of all project assets, such as staff, equipment and budget, it allows projects to be aligned across departmental boundaries and with key organizational initiatives. This provides visibility to all project stakeholders so that priorities remain in alignment with organizational objectives, and all information is communicated in real-time.

With an EPM solution, resources (internal staff, external consultants) can be centrally managed based on skills and availability from an enterprise perspective. EPM also provides an executive "dashboard" view of all projects within the organization, with the capability to incrementally drill-down to more information. It provides project managers and team members with integrated issue tracking, document management, and risk management capabilities. The EPM environment promotes collaboration between team members within the project and across projects, to facilitate the sharing of documents and related project materials, as well as providing a common workspace for all project activities, events, contacts, and schedule.

Using Microsoft Project Server 2003 and related products, Allin can assist organizations in implementing an EPM solution through an interactive workshop that focuses on a pilot implementation of Microsoft Project Server, customized training for all ranges of users, from novice project managers to the experienced project management office (PMO), or enterprise-wide implementation and conversion from their existing process. Key technologies utilized in this offering are Microsoft Project Server 2003, Microsoft Project Professional 2003, Microsoft SQL Server 2000 with SQL Analysis Services, SQL Reporting Services, Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services Microsoft Windows Server 2003, and Microsoft Office 2003.
