Allin first began installing Interactive Television (ITV) systems on Carnival Corporation ships in 1996. The first ship installed with ITV was Carnival Cruise Lines’ Imagination, followed shortly after by the then world’s largest cruise ship, the Carnival Destiny. Carnival recognized the need for automating some of their services onboard their larger ships such as Shore Excursion sales, Room Service and Wine Ordering. They also recognized the potential for new revenue sources, including Gaming, Pay-Per-View and Shopping. In 2001 Carnival Corporation and Allin signed an agreement for the development of a new application software layer, one that would be designed for and available to all Carnival operating companies. Carnival Cruise Lines was the first of the operating companies to install the new system onboard their ships. Carnival was the first cruise line in the world to install Allin’s fully digital headend system onboard the Carnival Conquest in 2002. |

Celebrity has long been known in the industry for building the most technologically advanced ships. In 1995, Allin installed the first Interactive Television (ITV) system onboard Celebrity’s m/v Century. Quickly recognizing the importance of ITV onboard their ships, Celebrity outfitted their entire fleet with Allin ITV systems by 1997, making Celebrity the first, and to this day the only, cruise line in the world to have ITV systems onboard every vessel of their fleet. Today, Celebrity has 9 ships installed with ITV, each with features like Movies On-Demand, Gaming, Shore Excursion preview and purchase, Account Review, Wine Ordering, Shopping and others. |

Modifications were made to adapt the software to the unique requirements presented with Costa’s signature Italian Style Cruising. Over the next 2 years Costa installed ITV systems onboard all 4 of their new vessels. |

Royal Caribbean was one of the original pioneers to install Interactive Television (ITV) onboard cruise ships. RCI first installed an ITV system in 1988. During the next 7 years, RCI installed and tested several other ITV systems onboard their ships. None of these systems were able to meet their rigid requirements for reliability, cost and functionality. Consequently, RCI asked Allin to design, develop, install and maintain Interactive Television systems onboard all of their ships placed in service since 2000. |
