Allin created the world's first multiple application, multimedia ITV system capable of supporting real-time commercial transactions. Allin provides hardware and software solutions to meet the ITV needs of our customers, ranging from ultra-reliable analog solutions to cutting edge streaming digital solutions. Our unparalleled experience and workmanship in all types of ITV environments have made us the industry leader. We are proud that Allin is the only company to successfully install ITV on ships at Italian, French, German and Finnish yards. Allin is a partner you can rely on to deliver a successful project, on time and on budget.
Allin has an unrivaled history for delivering ITV solutions. For over a decade, Allin has designed, developed and installed systems for customers in the cruise, hotel, healthcare and educational markets. In the cruise industry our installation teams have successfully completed systems in every major shipyard in the world, in dry docks in the United States and Europe, and even installed systems onboard vessels while in service.
We are acutely aware of the challenges associated with racking, testing and shipping equipment under tight time schedules both domestically and internationally. Our software development team has successfully written complete multi-functional interactive systems for each of the markets we serve. These systems are still in service and have documented records of extremely high reliability and uptime.
Allin Interactive employs a proprietary project management methodology called the Allin Solutions Framework (ASF). It is designed to provide a structured approach to project management. The purpose of the ASF is to minimize risk, provide review milestones during the project engagement, encourage proactive communication and enable successful completion on time and on budget.
On all Allin software development projects the ASF methodology breaks the project into the following discrete phases, with deliverables and milestones both within and at the completion of each phase:
- Solution Vision
- Solution Design
- Solution Development
- Solution Deployment
Through this approach we are able to successfully deliver projects that meet the requirements and expectations of our clients and minimize execution risks.
The design, development and installation of an Interactive Media system is a very complex endeavor spanning thousands of man-hours over many months. Many companies can successfully develop working prototypes; but few have the experience required to successfully execute a production-level system and support that system in the future.
Allin systems are designed to provide unmatched up-time. Many of Allin's interactive systems have been in operation for over 8 years, completing millions of interactive sessions long past the typical three to five year life cycle of most technology projects. All totaled, Allin systems have accumulated over 50 years of operation and have processed more than 30 million interactive sessions. Advanced software design features are incorporated to enable remote diagnostics and maintenance. As a result, Allin currently provides support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for multiple systems on multiple sites for multiple customers. We have support systems in place to track service requests and response time as well as an error-tracking knowledge base that allows proactive system changes to avoid future service issues. We are committed to supporting our installations for the long term as evidenced by our solid track record of meeting and exceeding customer support expectations.
Another key Allin advantage is a system design philosophy that is built on an open architecture. This means that, whenever possible, Allin uses standard hardware and software components with flexible and well-defined interfaces. This ensures easier maintenance and lower replacement and upgrade costs. It also decreases the risk of "orphaned" software or hardware components.
As a Microsoft Certified Solution Provider Partner, Allin has helped hundreds of companies deploy state-of-the-art enterprise information systems based on Microsoft's BackOffice family of products.
Allin's complete line of system design options give our customers the ability to build for today on an extensible robust architecture while protecting their capital investment for the future.
Allin has made a point to not only support a range of technology, but to work with our partners to understand when the business reasons make sense to adopt new technology. Through helping our customers to understand the life-cycle of their selected equipment and technology, we enable them to make the choices that are right for them, balancing the upfront costs, maintenance, and support of their system in comparison to the ROI of future upgrade paths. No matter what technology our customers choose to deploy, they can be certain that Allin has the experience necessary to make their project successful over the long term.
Allin's development team is dedicated to continual advancement in its ITV applications and interfaces. No other company has integrated as many interactive solutions or interfaces to other business systems as Allin. Allin understands the importance of making an ITV system work within each unique operating environment, as opposed to asking clients to change their way of doing business in order to deploy and support their ITV solution.
One example of the importance of technology and business balance can be seen in the example of digital video. Allin first introduced a digital video server into the ITV world in 1997, years before any other ITV company. This digital technology was deployed on a small scale with certain digital content available at the time. In 1999, in accordance with new standards from the movie studios, Allin advanced digital in the ITV environment by initiating the installation of a hardware-based storage/decode system designed to protect the studio's digital content. In 2000 Allin installed its first systems in the education market utilizing streaming media across a CAT5 network. Also in 2000, Allin developed an array- based video server to replace the hardware storage/decode solution. In 2001, Allin installed the first all-digital ITV head-end. We are committed to a technology advancement model that is dedicated to continual technology leadership while providing cost-effective and reliable interactive systems.
Allin’s technology strategy assists in helping our customers make the right choice for their budgets and their business requirements. It is one reason we are the single ITV vendor that supports and installs multiple types of platforms, from analog to all-digital to hybrid solutions.
