Led customer through design and pilot of Live Communications Server 2005 infrastructure. Participated with CSAA as member of Microsoft Technology Adoption Program (TAP) to beta test and deploy LCS 2005 Service Pack 1. SP1 provides a number of new features including connectivity to AOL, MSN, and YAHOO Instant Messaging networks. Testing was conducted on Windows Messenger 5.x and the to-be-released Communicator IM clients. Implemented client customizations specific to CSAA including branding and GPO templates. Upon completion of the project customer had deployed LCS 2005 SP1 with Windows Messenger 5.1 to more than 8000 users.

Migrated from NT4 Lotus CC Mail environment to Active Directory and Exchange 2003 utilizing Allin’s “Fast Track” approach. In-place upgraded NT4 master account domain and built pristine Exchange 2003 environment. ISA Server 2004 was placed in the DMZ to reverse proxy OWA and RPC over HTTPS traffic back to the Exchange 2003 server. CC Mail migration was preformed by migrating CC Mail archive files into Exchange using an import tool. Addresses were converted post import to allow the ability to reply to old messages. Outlook 2003 deployment was accomplished using network install points and a Group Policy for software distribution. |

Acting as project and technical leads the Allin team along with Customer IT teams designed, piloted and deployed the global infrastructure required for Windows 2003 Active Directory and Exchange 2003. Using new features of Outlook 2003 and Exchange 2003 the customer was able to reduce Exchange infrastructure requirements by more than 50%, directly reducing server hardware and licensing costs. |

Using the Allin Solution Framework (ASF) project methodology, Allin consultants lead the global AD design effort for the migration from NT 4.0 domain architecture to Windows 2003 Active Directory services. Following completion of the AD design Allin engaged with Customer IT team to mentor and lead the AD deployment project. |
