Advance the business value of your desktop infrastructure investments by taking advantage of an Architectural Design Session (ADS). Designed to help your internal IT staff and management realize the full potential of your desktop software resources, these sessions are tailored to help you jumpstart your deployment. We conduct each ADS in sponsorship with your local Microsoft field team.
The three-day ADS will focus on every aspect of desktop infrastructure, from planning an efficient and effective deployment of Windows Vista and Office 2007 to managing the cost, risk, time, and complexity of your desktop infrastructure. We’ll also cover the Solution Accelerator for Business Desktop Deployment, which provides best-practice guidelines for installation and provisioning. By working with a best-in-class service provider, you can help increase your team’s awareness and understanding of the current best practices as they apply directly to your business scenario.
Key Benefits
- Fully utilize your desktop infrastructure
- Build a plan for an efficient and effective desktop deployment
- Streamline the cost, risk, time, and complexity of your desktop infrastructure.
The three-day Architectural Design Sessions are designed to demonstrate the key capabilities of the Microsoft Desktop Platform, highlighting application compatibility, deployment, and management.
We will determine, at a high level, your readiness to migrate from your existing environment. The assessment will evaluate your current IT infrastructure, applications, and desktop configuration pointing out possible performance gains through Windows Vista and Office 2007 deployment. Suggestions for other improvements in systems management and operations will be noted. In addition, a technology architecture overview will determine the viability and need for upgrade and deployment.
We will work with key members of your technical team to determine the next steps for addressing the desktop deployment and application compatibility. Attention will be paid to securing the desktop within your organization at this stage. Demonstrations of Windows Vista and Office 2007 will address all the challenges discovered in the high-level overview.
In the ADS, you will receive recommendations based on the current infrastructure and architecture “next steps” for designing and deploying a new desktop environment. Successful delivery of the ADS depends on technical discussions, demonstrations, and education of IT personnel and possibly business stakeholders.
