This QuickStart offering will assist organizations in securing their wired, wireless, and VPN networks on the device level to prevent malicious intrusions, even if a user’s login and password is compromised. With Phoenix Technology’s cME TrustConnector, certificates are used to authenticate users, and are either stored in the BIOS or encrypted using information from hardware components, so that they cannot be copied and used on another machine. Allin Consulting, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner for Enterprise Systems, will assess your requirements, put together a design and deployment plan tailored for your environment, and perform the deployment with your team.
To secure authentication on the device level for Windows computers connecting to your network by using certificates provided by the Phoenix cME TrustConnector. This infrastructure will require the deployment of a RADIUS server (e.g. Microsoft IAS on a Domain Controller) and a Microsoft Certificate Authority (CA), which can reside on separate servers or on a single server. Authentication can be required for only wired networks, for only wireless networks, for only VPN networks, or any combination thereof.
Wireless access point and/or network switch with 802.1x RADIUS support for TLS, Windows 2000/2003 Enterprise Edition.
Deployment of Phoenix cME TrustConnector to client computers, and Microsoft IAS and Microsoft CA servers to process authentication requests.
Any customer wanting to protect their network by adding device-level security.
