Pittsburgh, PA: Allin Corporation (OTCBB:ALLN) announced that it has secured an agreement with Carnival Cruise Lines to deploy Allin’s digital interactive television solution on the Carnival Dream, Carnival’s newest vessel scheduled to debut in September 2009.
“We are very pleased that Carnival Cruise Lines is continuing its long and successful relationship with Allin on the Carnival Dream,” stated Brian Blair, Managing Director of Allin Interactive. “Allin and Carnival Cruise Lines have been working together now for 13 years, which we believe is a testament to Carnival’s innovative spirit and our ability to meet their evolving needs.”
“Allin has consistently delivered interactive solutions for our fleet at a very high level of quality,” stated Roger Blum, Vice-President of Cruise Programming at Carnival Cruise Lines. “With Allin’s help we have continued to build more functionality into our interactive television platform to the benefit of our guests and shipboard personnel.”
The Allin ITV system on Dream will provide guests with a full range of interactive services including on-demand movies, shore excursion previews and bookings, daily dining menus and activities highlights. In addition, guests will be able to check their Sail & Sign account, order room service, and shop from the comfort of their stateroom.
Carnival Dream, currently under construction at Fincantieri’s Monfalcone yard, will have a capacity of 3,646 passengers, double occupancy. The 130,000-ton vessel will be the first of an entirely new class and is slated to debut in the Mediterranean on September 21, 2009, with a 12-day cruise from Civitavecchia (Rome) to Naples, Dubrovnik, Venice (overnight call), Messina, Barcelona, Monaco, and Livorno. It will sail two 12-day voyages on October 3 and 15 before its 16-day transatlantic crossing to New York (calls include Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca, Malaga, Las Palmas and Bermuda.)
Once in New York, Carnival Dream will offer two eight-day round trip sailings, providing an excellent opportunity for consumers to experience Carnival's newest ship from one of the world’s most famous ports. The two eight-day cruises will sail on November 15 and 23, 2009, and visit Port Canaveral, Fla.; and Nassau and Freeport, The Bahamas. After repositioning to its year-round homeport at Port Canaveral, Carnival Dream will operate a special one-time nine-day cruise departing Dec. 3 before launching year-round seven-day Caribbean service from that port December 12, 2009.
As the largest vessel in the “Fun Ship” fleet, Carnival Dream will offer a host of innovations. Among its many amazing features, she will boast more outdoor deck space, more stateroom categories, a 23,750-square-foot spa – the largest in the fleet -- the most elaborate facilities for children, a sprawling Carnival WaterWorks aqua park, and a new indoor/outdoor entertainment complex called Ocean Plaza. The ship will also offer four cantilevered whirlpools and a giant resort-style main pool with a giant LED screen as well as the popular Serenity adults-only deck.
