Allin Builds Content Management System for International Carwash Association

Allin creates a Content Management System for ICA, allowing them to easily manage and update their website without hiring a programmer.

November 20, 2009

The Problem:
The International Carwash Association (ICA) wanted a website that could be easily maintained and updated on a daily basis, but did not wish to hire a programmer. They had been using a company called Momentix to fulfill their needs, but Momentix went into bankruptcy.

The Solution:
ICA employed SmithBucklin to assist them in the technology vendor selection process. SmithBucklin is the world’s largest association management company, providing flexible, tailored services to 320 trade associations, professional societies, technology user groups, and government institutes/agencies. They selected CodeLab to build ICA a content management system.

CodeLab began by purchasing the existing system from Momentix and gathering all existing site content. A code review was done to determine how to improve the application, and a design document detailing changes and new functionality ICA desired for their system was created. In addition to developing the content management system, CodeLab provided graphic design support. Reports detailing site traffic, generated using Webtrends, were provided each month. The system was hosted and maintained at CodeLab up until 2008.

The Benefits:
The system allowed ICA to edit and manage their site without paying technical resources to do so, saving the company time and money.
