Allin Virtualization Solution Design and Implementation Services are provided by certified virtualization consultants and will provide your organization with a well planned and exectued virtual solution from start to finish. Allin uses the following framework for designing and implementing virtualization solutions:

Vision

Work with our customer to develop an overall solution direction. Here are some steps in this process:

• Initial whiteboard discussions to understand business pain points and objectives
• Virtualization discussions detailing available capabilities and how they might help meet business objectives

Current State Environment Assessment

Collect detailed current state information to inform the design process. Some of the information to be assembled includes:

• Physical hardware inventory
• Server utilization and performance assessment
• Application inventory and usage patterns
• Identify potential candidates for physical to virtual (P2V) migration

Solution Design

Allin consultants develop the detailed solution design during this phase. There is a diverse amount of information considered during the design process including:

• Business
• Operational Considerations: Disaster Recovery, Budget, ROI, TCO
• Resource Considerations: Training, Access, Management
• Impact on Day to Day Operations
• Technical
• Develop Future State Environment: Equipment, Storage, Network, Software Tools
• Create list of equipment to be acquired
• Develop a detailed Solution Implementation Plan

Once the solution design is complete it is reviewed with the customer and updated to address any issues surfaced during the review. This process continues until both parties are satisfied with the solution.

Future State Environment Build

Work with customer to acquire solution components and integrate into the datacenter.

• Acquire hardware and software needed to implement solution
• Install
• Configure
• Test
• Physical to Virtual (P2V) migration of candidate hardware servers (if required)
• Validate results

Final Report

Produce a final report documenting actions takes, results and future recommendations, as appropriate.
