Growth through acquisition resulted in a large number of segregated billing and CRM systems for the financial services company. They found themselves billing the same customers separately for different products and services, and tracking sales activity in different databases. Since multiple billing systems were functioning this way, they experienced operational inefficiencies during reporting. They also generated data discrepancies, stemming from manual entry of the same data into different systems.
The Solution:
Allin Consulting created a unique identifying system to link data across all systems, providing easier reconciliation in reporting and automating data entry into other systems within the organization. They also conducted data cleansing, migration, and consolidation of customer data from over 30 systems. A simple web application was built to allow users to view and edit the scrubbed data.

This was followed by designing scrubbing logic and conducting preliminary testing for cleansing accuracy. The final product was the development of automated nightly scrubbing programs looking at new records from systems needing review.
