The Challenge:
A large banking company was using a productivity hub portal based on Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007. They wanted to enhance the look and feel, design, and user experience of their site.
The challenge was to develop a set of designs that would provide a friendlier and more approachable user experience. The design had to be integrated and deployed into the existing SharePoint master pages and applied to the bank’s productivity hub portal.
The Solution:
The banking company partnered with Allin to develop and deploy a set of highly-designed SharePoint master pages. The SharePoint Master Page design process began with a review of the website’s branding. Initial mock-ups were developed, as well as CSS, HTML, and layout imagery. Next, the master pages were created and the design elements integrated with help from the Creative Design Consultant. The master pages were unit tested on test site collections, and then applied to the actual site collections. A SharePoint solution/feature package was written as a final step. Allin assisted with solution deployment, and cut over the master pages accessible to users.
